At the heart of the house, the monumental, fully equipped kitchen invites long gatherings over glasses of wine and local flavors. For lively group moments, the leisure area guarantees fun-filled afternoons and evenings with billiards and foosball.
Outside, life unfolds at your own pace. The terrace with barbecue is perfect for long lunches until sunset, overlooking the plain where horses and cows graze freely. Just steps away, the pool appears as a private oasis to sunbathe, relax, or watch the kids run free.

Visiting the Mining Park is diving into a thousand-year-old history. From Roman traces to industrial legacy, the landscape impresses with its unique tones. Climb the iconic Malacate de Algares winding tower and walk these paths of memory.
Wine Cellars | Wine Tourism (15 min)
A land of sun and vineyards as far as the eye can see, the Baixo Alentejo produces unmistakable wines. In the neighboring cellars, wine is still made in clay amphorae, just as in Roman times, a technique almost no one else in the world still practices. Taste it alongside the region's contemporary reds and the difference is clear from the first sip.

Beaches | Comporta, Melides and Milfontes, Melides e Milfontes (~1h10/1h)
About an hour away, three of the most beautiful beaches on the Alentejo coast complete the experience: Comporta, with its sands between rice fields and pine forest; Melides, where the lagoon and the sea meet side by side; and Vila Nova de Milfontes, at the mouth of the Mira river. There are still many more to discover along the coast, practically all at the same distance from the Herdade.
Great Bustards and Bee-eaters | Rare Birds
The plain surrounding the Herdade is one of the last refuges for two of Portugal's rarest birds: the great bustard, the heaviest flying bird in Europe, and the European bee-eater, with its turquoise and orange plumage. Between November and August, silent dawns reveal entire flocks taking flight over the wheat fields, a spectacle few places in the country still offer.

At Herdade da Boavista, we open our doors for 2-night stays (Monday to Thursday), with special conditions for groups of up to 25 people looking for privacy, space, and authenticity. The estate becomes your private country house, choose the reason, we take care of the rest:
Reunions with old friends or colleagues, team retreats and team building, more relaxed bachelor(ette) parties, wellness and yoga retreats, cooking, photography, or painting workshops, or multigenerational family celebrations , always with the entire estate all to yourselves, indoors and out.
What your 2-night retreat includes: total exclusivity of the 9 bedrooms and common areas, access to the pool, riding arena, and organic vegetable garden, guided walks through the countryside with Mr. Zé, and the option of traditional meals prepared exclusively for the group.
